The Clinical Research Facility (CRF) has been awarded Gold in its latest Clinical Standards Accreditation inspection, recognising exemplary performance in patient care, safety and continuous improvement.

The inspection team said the result was “well-deserved,” noting clear progress since the previous review and praising the CRF’s quality culture and consistent delivery against standards. The rating reflects the collective efforts of staff across disciplines to embed best practice that directly enhances the experience of research participants.
“We have rated the Clinical Research Facility as a ‘Gold’ Clinical Area. Congratulations—a well-deserved result. The team have worked hard on making the improvements recommended at the last inspection,” the Accreditation Team commented.
Patient feedback was highlighted as a stand-out strength. According to the inspection team’s patient volunteer, responses were “overwhelmingly positive,” with participants describing the CRF team as “life changing”.
The CRF will build on the outcome by continuing to refine its processes, strengthen multidisciplinary teamwork and involve patients at every stage of research delivery. Staff and collaborators said that the result was due to a constant focus on safety, careful procedures, and a common dedication to doing things well.
