We are an expanding team of research delivery staff consisting of Research Matrons, Senior Research Nurses and Senior Research Practitioners, Research Nurses, Research Midwives, Research Practitioners, Research Coordinator’s, Research Assistants, Laboratory Technicians and our CRF Reception/Administrators. The Senior Research Nurses/Practitioners and Matrons are experienced in assessing the deliverability of studies in the CRF taking into account study intensity and complexity assessments, staff training needs, experience and skill mix. They line manage teams of research nurses, research coordinators and assistants, divided according to specialities, and act as mentor and support for junior staff. Our CRF Research Staff have a diverse complement of clinical skills and expertise. The vaccine delivery team are experienced in high intensity early phase clinical trials within the CRF, paediatric studies and outreach working in diverse community locations. Other CRF Research Nurses and Practitioners come from emergency, critical care and medical evacuation backgrounds, biomedical sciences and bring this training to support their work in high intensity early phase research alongside colleagues who deliver later phase research in specific specialties.
