Our Expertise
CRF Expertise
We have a complement of Chief and Principal Investigators ranging from Clinicians to Academics with significant experience gained from over 100 first-in-human, phase I and phase IIa studies in the last 5 years in areas such as Infectious Disease, Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology and Clinical Genetics amongst others.
Located at the centre of St Georges Hospital, which provides more specialties on one site than any other hospital in London, our NIHRCRF has access to and involvement with a very broad ranges of emergency services and inpatient facilities. It is sited very close to the emergency floors including the Emergency Department, intensive care units (general adult, paediatric, cardiac and neuro), operating theatres, and a range of medical acute and high dependency areas. There are excellent links with our radiology services including MRI (Neuroradiology (3T;1.5T) and two general MRI scanners), CT, PET and diagnostic/interventional radiology. We are co-located with Moorfields Eye Centre for studies requiring specialist ophthalmology and have excellent links to the cardiac centre providing tertiary services in its catheter, electrophysiology, and echocardiography labs.
